Hello! We are Joe and Cathleen Parks.

We are both from California. Joe was born in Bakersfield and Cathleen was born in Long Beach. We married on February 16, 1991. Not long after, in 1995, we had our first daughter Jessica. What a joy! In 1996, God led us to move to the Houston area. Such an exciting journey! Neither one of us knew what was in store, but God sure did. Within a short amount of time we found ourselves living in Katy, TX. and loving the area. In 1999 we had our second daughter Allison - the perfect completion to our little family! In August of 2004 we started FOCUS* Church together. FOCUS* started in our friend’s upstairs game room (we jokingly referred to it as ‘the upper room’) with 7 adults and 7 children. We now meet at the Faith West campus with our growing church family. FOCUS* is growing in multitudes of ways. Numerically our growth is slow, but steady. More importantly, we are growing in our relationships. First is our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, then our relationships with others. We count it an honor to be called into the ministry of FOCUS*. We thank you for the opportunity to grow in Jesus with you. We can’t wait to see what God is going to do next!
